NBC news, citing a DHS internal memo, reports this: “In San Diego, where the number of migrants from China and elsewhere in the Eastern Hemisphere has soared this year, the memo states that Border Patrol agents are instructed to send migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras or Mexico back into Mexico, but to release migrants from the Eastern Hemisphere and any other countries inside the U.S. “
The story does not address touch on the question of why some migrants are being automatically expelled back into Mexico, while those from select nations are allowed to cross into the United States.
Officially, the migrants permitted to stay in the U.S. are to attend a hearing to determine whether they are political refugees. However, the process is a bad joke.
There are more than two million cases pending and wait time for hearings is about seven years. The number of pending cases will grow. Why did Washington allow this to happen? That’s a mystery.
